16 October - 20 November 2008
Part II of Moving Worlds: Cinemas of Migration runs from 16 October – 20 November, 2008. In this second series, our programme once again includes a rich range of dramatic and documentary stories about migration: from the lived realities of family reunification, to cultural expressions produced within immigrant youth cultures, or the complex power relations associated with human trafficking, in addition to the comparative histories of labour migration within Europe, and more.
Moving Worlds is an initiative of the Forum on Migration and Communications (FOMACS, School of Media, Dublin Institute of Technology) in association with the Goethe-Institut Dublin, Instituto Cervantes, Alliance Française and the Austrian Embassy.
Admission is free and open to all: To reserve a place for the screenings, please contact series co-ordinator Dr Rashmi Sawhney at The Centre for Transcultural Research and Media Practice
